A Sacred Heritage of Divine Grace & Tradition

Matham in Palakkad district, Kerala, is a rare and ancient temple dedicated to Sree Meenakshi Devi and Sree Sundareswara Swamy, both facing east. Our Approach
Restoring Faith, Reviving Tradition
Sri Meenakshi Sundareswara Swami Temple in Palakkad is undergoing a sacred restoration, culminating in the grand Kumbhabhishekam ceremony — a momentous occasion blessed by the Acharyas of the renowned Sringeri Math (Sharada Peetham).
The temple is preparing for the auspicious Kumbhabhishekam ceremony. The chief Acharyas of Sringeri Math (Sharada Peetham) — Ananthpadmanabha Bhatt and Niranjan Bhatt — visited the temple and offered their full blessings and support. Chief patron Subrahmanya Swami was also present to grace the occasion.
The temple's two Nadapuras (entrance gateways) have undergone extensive restoration work — from structural roof covering to tiling and painting — all completed with great devotion and community support. The Nadapura now stands as a proud symbol of traditional South Indian temple architecture.
Sringeri Math (Sharada Peetham) is one of the principal Mathas established by Sri Jagadguru Shankaracharya. Its Acharyas visited Sri Meenakshi Sundareswara Swami Temple in connection with the Kumbhabhishekam and extended their complete support, blessings, and spiritual guidance to the temple and its devotees.
